May 18, 2018 will always be one of the most memorable days of my life because, thanks to Steven, I passed the California bar!!! I was a high achiever in law school, and I did well in every single class, so when I failed the July 2017 exam, I was heartbroken and felt defeated. Building up the courage and self-confidence to study again retake an exam was tough, but Steven made it so much easier with his individualized, tailored-for-me prep program. Before Steven, I used a cookie-cutter bar prep program, and it felt like I was both alone and perpetually behind. During the course of my bar prep for the February exam, I worked BigLaw hours until about the last 2.5 weeks, got the flu, and had to leave the country for a family emergency–Steven was flexible and helped me rearrange my study schedule and calmed me down when things felt at their worst. On the first day of the February exam, I had an anxiety attack, but was able to bounce back and pass because I was able to remember all the tips that Steven had given me to prepare.
In other words, with a cookie-cutter program, I did everything right: I took two long months to study and stuck to the “plan” and I failed; whereas with Steven’s help, in a true Murphy’s Law situation, I was able to overcome illness, stress, and panic to succeed on an exam on which roughly 3/4 of test-takers were unsuccessful. Thank you Steven! — S.R., Esq., passed the February 2018 California Bar Examination
TUTOR NOTE: Flexibility was key. Skype from India in question was intermittent, so meetings were FaceTimed. Tutoring occurred on different days (Sundays 8:30 pm Alameda time = Monday morning in India). Pass, pass, pass!
