Working and studying at the same time? For a first-timer? Nothing could stop her! Passed the July 2025 Cal Bar!

Working with Steven Harris and Calweasel Bar Tutoring Program was truly a game-changer. I attended a California Accredited law school at night and worked full time while preparing and really didn’t even know where to start. Steven’s calendar and plan fit my schedule and broke the material down into manageable steps, with clear strategies aimed at passing the first time. The program’s structure kept me accountable, while Steven’s encouragement gave me the confidence I needed to push through the toughest days.
What stood out most was the balance of expert knowledge and genuine support. Every session was focused, practical, and motivating. The practice exams and feedback were invaluable—they didn’t just highlight areas for improvement, they showed me exactly how to write a passing answer.

Law Office Study Program student passes the July 2025 Cal Bar Exam on the FIRST TRY!

Steven Harris is unequivocally the best bar tutor someone can hire, coming from someone who didn’t go to law school, and passed the July 2025 exam on their first attempt. Back in 2021 I decided to enroll in the Law Office Study Program. At the end of my first year of study I hired Steven to help me prepare for (and pass) the Baby Bar. When I learned that I had passed, I knew I would hire him again for the Cal bar. Fast forward to April of 2025, when I became eligible to sit for the Cal bar, I contacted Steven. I conveyed my concerns that I felt light years behind my bar-eligible peers and that I had very grim hope of passing. How could I possibly be prepared enough when I don’t know what I don’t know? However, Steven was the first one to reassure me that I WAS capable of passing, that he would get me to the level playing field of that of my peers, and that as long as I didn’t get in my own way I could succeed. Through the entire three months of prep, Steven held me accountable. He did not allow me to let my studies slip, he reassured me every time I had doubts, and he answered all of my questions. To sum up my feelings about Steven’s guidance and program, in hindsight, any amount of money paid for his services was not enough. The greatest gift I received from Steven was that even though I was incredibly stressed in the weeks leading up to the bar, on the day of the bar, I didn’t have an ounce of stress in my body. Because of Steven I felt adequately prepared for any iteration I could encounter. I succeeded under his tutelage and I am eternally grateful. — Molly Northrup, Esq., passed the July 2025 California Bar Examination

Law Office student passes the July 2025 Cal Bar Exam ON THE FIRST TRY!!!!

Hello all,

To everyone who passed, congratulations!  To everyone who didn’t, you’ve made it this far, don’t give up.  Passing or failing the Bar is NOT an indication of whether you will succeed as an attorney.  Please keep that in mind and be kind to yourselves.  I completed the Law Office Study Program and did not attend traditional law school.  I want to give a heartfelt thank you and shoutout to the tutor that I hired for both the Baby Bar and for the Cal Bar because I am eternally grateful for his help.  I personally felt woefully unprepared (especially having not gone to traditional law school) and without his help I believe I would not have had any chance of succeeding on my first attempt.  If you feel like you need a 1-on-1 tutor who is going to tell you how it is and push you to be your best self, he’s the man. I cannot recommend him enough and I’m so thankful for everything he did for me.  I used Steven Harris’ services at Calweasel Bar Prep (https://calweaselbartutorial.com).  Good luck to everyone taking the February 2026 bar exam.  You CAN do this, it’s not a matter of if, but when.  Hang in there.  Molly Northrup, Esq., Law Office Study Program, passed the July 2025 California Bar Examination

Big Law associate passes ultra-challenging February 2025 California Bar Examination!

Steven’s program was exactly what I needed after I did not pass the bar the first time.  I was incredibly disappointed and embarrassed that I had not passed and also felt confused and uncertain about next steps.  I had followed my cookie-cutter prep program as instructed and had finished more than the recommended course, so why hadn’t I passed? Programs like the cookie-cutter prep program I took are not a one-size fits all.  My learning style did not work with how that program worked.  I felt this way while I was studying, but went along with it because it’s what everyone else was using.  With Steven’s program, I had an expert on the bar exam supporting me through the study process that was constantly available to answer any and all of my many questions.  Having someone so knowledgeable guiding my study schedule immediately increased my confidence.  Not only did I get a tailored schedule and incredibly helpful weekly feedback, I also got a personal cheerleader.  Steven was extremely encouraging and slowly helped build my self-esteem back.  He understands the psychology of failure and how to support those who are retaking the bar. I never felt alone during the extremely scary and isolating process that is bar prep.  He was constantly sending reminders and updates of important upcoming dates and deadlines for the test which can be hard to juggle while also studying.  While the administration of the bar exam was a complete mess, I left the test feeling confident because of this program. — Big Law Associate, Esq., passed the February 2025 California Bar Examination

Trust the UC Law SF professor who has been doing this for decades and helped hundreds of students pass one of the hardest Bar exams in the nation. He knows what works.

I took the Cal Bar in February 2025. Mr. Harris and I had spent months working through his strategies, including step-by-step methods to tackle the Performance Test. I thought I was ready. But as many of you know, that Bar exam administration was like no other. When I sat down to take the PT, the computer software would not allow me to use the tools we had practiced for so long. But Mr. Harris does not just prepare you with black letter rules, he teaches you how Bar examiners think. While certain functionality such as copy/paste would have been nice, I did not need it. I knew how to tackle a PT. What kept running through my head was Mr. Harris telling me that no matter what, don’t give up. Put something on the page. If you stop, you’re done. Don’t be derailed, trust in the process, and get the job done. Sentences turned into paragraphs, and I was able to complete the PT. I was also able to pass the Bar.

If you want someone in your corner from the minute you start your Bar preparation till after you have heard the results, hire Steven Harris. He knows the Bar, how it is scored, and what you need to do to maximize your points and chance for success. He will work you. By the time I took the Bar I had done over 70 essays, 10 PTs, and over 2,500 MC. On 15 essays and all 10 PTs, Mr. Harris provided individualized feedback, writing thousands of words on each essay, and following up with in person meetings to review his findings and answer questions. He is not an easy grader, but by the end of his program you will have strategies to overcome your weaknesses and a plan to maximize your strengths.

Steven Harris will tailor make a program designed around your conflicts and responsibilities. This is individualized Bar preparation, centered around you. It is time to have someone in your corner. It is time to pass the Bar. — Bret McLaughlin, Esq., passed the February 2025 California Bar Examination

Dedication, trust the process, extensive feedback = passing the February 2025 California Bar Examination!

I engaged Steven Harris’ services shortly after finding out that I was unsuccessful in my first attempt at the bar. For my first attempt, I used one of the major bar prep companies to study. Like everyone who does not pass, I was disappointed and wanted to do whatever it would take to succeed on my second attempt. To that end, I decided to look into private tutors. After researching private tutors, speaking with Steven, and having candid conversations with several of his previously successful clients, I decided to engage Steven’s services. That decision made all the difference. His tried and proven service is unlike any of the major bar prep programs out there and involves drilling down on both the written and MBE portions of the exam. Steven provides unparalleled feedback on both parts of the exam, which will enable you to improve your scores over the course of the program. All you need to do to be successful with Steven’s program is to be dedicated to his plan and trust the process. I highly recommend Steven’s bar prep services for anyone who wants to put the bar behind them. And as long as you put in the work and trust the process, you will succeed!  Dan D., Esq., UC Law SF alum, passed the February 2025 Cal Bar Examination

Repeater passes the February 2025 Cal Bar Examination!

I first met Professor Harris in my 3L year when I took his Critical Studies 1 course. He provided so much helpful information about the exam, how it’s scored, and how to approach each essay by subject and subtopic. He really breaks the entire exam apart and makes it easier to understand. The more you understand this monster, the better equipped you are to defeat it. And that I did!

I have ADHD and anxiety but the bar denied all my accommodation requests. I did not pass my first attempt in July and knew I needed more help. That is when I purchased the Gold package with Professor Harris. I followed my personally-made calendar, checked in honestly at our regular meetings, and completed my assignments and mock exams. I wasn’t perfect but I didn’t need to be perfect. Professor Harris adjusted my calendar and helped me prioritize what was most important. I focused on practice and learning to stay cool through the testing anxiety.

I was able to continue working through bar prep, move cities, and take days off. For these reasons, I highly recommend Professor Harris, his courses, and his books! — UC Law SF Alumna, Esq., passed the February 2025 California Bar Examination
