Repeater with accommodations gains over 150 points and PASSED the February 2026 California Bar Examination!

As a second-time taker with accommodations, I knew I had to restructure my whole study approach to pass the bar exam. I knew returning to commercial test prep companies would not allow me to close the 150+ point gap I needed to pass, so I spent some time searching for the best resource. Professor Harris was the answer.

Not only is Calweasel a comprehensive bar prep program, but Professor Harris truly individualized and customized my study schedule to fit my work schedule, personal life, and weaknesses in MBE subject matter. I knew my daily study material was targeted to improve my weak areas and continue strengthening my stronger subjects.  I felt supported by Professor Harris and knew he was invested in my success.  For my second attempt, I wanted to go in with the confidence that I could pass, not just by a few points, but with a sizable cushion. Though I do not know my overall score (and I’m sure glad I don’t), I can truly say that working with Professor Harris has given me much more confidence than I could have imagined. — UC Law SF Alum, Esq., passed February 2026 California Bar Examination

Hi Steven,

I’m very happy to share that I’ve passed the Feb CA bar!

Thank you very much for your flexibility, feedback, and support in the re-take process.  I especially appreciate learning to do the boilerplates, the Essay Review method, and the MBE Primers and Flowcharts, among other parts of the program.  — BigLaw Associate, Esq., passed the February 2026 California Bar Examination

UC Law SF LLM Alumna, Esq., passed the July 2025 California Bar Exam!

As a UC Law SF LLM Alumna and a foreign-trained attorney, I began my California Bar journey with very little understanding of what to expect.  The bar exam felt overwhelming.  However, Professor Harris’ Critical Studies class changed that.  The course provided a clear, accessible introduction to the exam, and it made bar prep far less intimidating.  The focus on essays and the Performance Test was exactly what I needed.   The structured approach, practical strategies, and repeated focus on how to think and write like a bar taker gave me a foundation that paid off every single day of my studies and during the exam.  When it came time to prepare for the bar by writing practice essays, and “Stoplight Guy” was always at the forefront of my mind.   I was able to use the mantra of “you are writing for Stoplight Guy” to remind myself  to slow down, organize, and execute a passing answer.
The book WINNIN’ TIME! was equally invaluable.  It helped me understand the rules in a way that finally made sense.  Initially, I felt so overwhelmed by the content and I had no idea what rules I had to remember and what rules did not matter as much.  The book was great because it helped me to see how all the rules worked together and what rule statements I had to remember.   The clarity of the explanations and the emphasis on exam-oriented thinking were game-changing for me.
The Critical Studies class at UC Law SF and the accompanying materials were essential to my success, and I am grateful for the guidance that helped me pass the July 2025 California Bar Exam.  Thank you Professor Harris! — UC Law SF LLM Alumna, Esq., passed the July 2025 California Bar Examination

Working with Steven Harris and Calweasel Bar Tutoring Program was truly a game-changer. I attended a California Accredited law school at night and worked full time while preparing and really didn’t even know where to start. Steven’s calendar and plan fit my schedule and broke the material down into manageable steps, with clear strategies aimed at passing the first time. The program’s structure kept me accountable, while Steven’s encouragement gave me the confidence I needed to push through the toughest days.

Law Office Study Program student passes the July 2025 Cal Bar Exam on the FIRST TRY!

Steven Harris is unequivocally the best bar tutor someone can hire, coming from someone who didn’t go to law school, and passed the July 2025 exam on their first attempt. Back in 2021 I decided to enroll in the Law Office Study Program. At the end of my first year of study I hired Steven to help me prepare for (and pass) the Baby Bar. When I learned that I had passed, I knew I would hire him again for the Cal bar. Fast forward to April of 2025, when I became eligible to sit for the Cal bar, I contacted Steven. I conveyed my concerns that I felt light years behind my bar-eligible peers and that I had very grim hope of passing. How could I possibly be prepared enough when I don’t know what I don’t know? However, Steven was the first one to reassure me that I WAS capable of passing, that he would get me to the level playing field of that of my peers, and that as long as I didn’t get in my own way I could succeed. Through the entire three months of prep, Steven held me accountable. He did not allow me to let my studies slip, he reassured me every time I had doubts, and he answered all of my questions. To sum up my feelings about Steven’s guidance and program, in hindsight, any amount of money paid for his services was not enough. The greatest gift I received from Steven was that even though I was incredibly stressed in the weeks leading up to the bar, on the day of the bar, I didn’t have an ounce of stress in my body. Because of Steven I felt adequately prepared for any iteration I could encounter. I succeeded under his tutelage and I am eternally grateful. — Molly Northrup, Esq., passed the July 2025 California Bar Examination

Law Office student passes the July 2025 Cal Bar Exam ON THE FIRST TRY!!!!

Hello all,

To everyone who passed, congratulations!  To everyone who didn’t, you’ve made it this far, don’t give up.  Passing or failing the Bar is NOT an indication of whether you will succeed as an attorney.  Please keep that in mind and be kind to yourselves.  I completed the Law Office Study Program and did not attend traditional law school.  I want to give a heartfelt thank you and shoutout to the tutor that I hired for both the Baby Bar and for the Cal Bar because I am eternally grateful for his help.  I personally felt woefully unprepared (especially having not gone to traditional law school) and without his help I believe I would not have had any chance of succeeding on my first attempt.  If you feel like you need a 1-on-1 tutor who is going to tell you how it is and push you to be your best self, he’s the man. I cannot recommend him enough and I’m so thankful for everything he did for me.  I used Steven Harris’ services at Calweasel Bar Prep (https://calweaselbartutorial.com).  Good luck to everyone taking the February 2026 bar exam.  You CAN do this, it’s not a matter of if, but when.  Hang in there.  Molly Northrup, Esq., Law Office Study Program, passed the July 2025 California Bar Examination

Big Law associate passes ultra-challenging February 2025 California Bar Examination!

Steven’s program was exactly what I needed after I did not pass the bar the first time.  I was incredibly disappointed and embarrassed that I had not passed and also felt confused and uncertain about next steps.  I had followed my cookie-cutter prep program as instructed and had finished more than the recommended course, so why hadn’t I passed? Programs like the cookie-cutter prep program I took are not a one-size fits all.  My learning style did not work with how that program worked.  I felt this way while I was studying, but went along with it because it’s what everyone else was using.  With Steven’s program, I had an expert on the bar exam supporting me through the study process that was constantly available to answer any and all of my many questions.  Having someone so knowledgeable guiding my study schedule immediately increased my confidence.  Not only did I get a tailored schedule and incredibly helpful weekly feedback, I also got a personal cheerleader.  Steven was extremely encouraging and slowly helped build my self-esteem back.  He understands the psychology of failure and how to support those who are retaking the bar. I never felt alone during the extremely scary and isolating process that is bar prep.  He was constantly sending reminders and updates of important upcoming dates and deadlines for the test which can be hard to juggle while also studying.  While the administration of the bar exam was a complete mess, I left the test feeling confident because of this program. — Big Law Associate, Esq., passed the February 2025 California Bar Examination
